Interactive Health iJoy 130 Therapeutic Robotic Massage Chair

Interactive Health’s iJoy 130 Massage Chair is extremely popular, thanks to some impressive features and a relatively modest price. You can read more at the Interactive Health website.

Pointed magazine has a highly favorable review of the iJoy 130 Massage Chair, written by no fewer than three staff members (no longer online). Here is an excerpt:

You may have seen these chairs in the windows at Brookstone and the Sharper Image, now is your chance to see why they are flying off the shelves. Our staff has discovered about the best chair to hit your home.

Just as our staff has done in all of our product reviews and testing this year, we have taken yet another product to the limit to find out if this is a product well worth spending your money for.  Interactive Health definitely knows how to make a massage chair that looks cool and carries a great price too.

Our first test in the 300 hours came with testing the quality of the massage over long periods of time. Did the chair stop in the middle of a massage, was it able to stop at the push of a button and was it able to withstand hours of massage on five different staff members? Our results were better than we thought and there was not one failure in massage methods when changing from the different types of massage.

… When it comes to purchasing the chair, the best thing Interactive Health does is offer a great price. Its Micro-Suede design and cool look are worth well over $699, the suggested retail price the chair offers. There are some chairs priced from$1500 that do not even look or feel the way the iJoy 130 chair does.

Equally enthusiastic is the review of the iJoy 130 Massage Chair at the ReviewBoard website:

The iJoy 130 Massage Chair is one of the rare products I get to test that actually exceeds my expectations. The iJoy 130 Massage Chair has four different massage modes and also features modes specifically for lower, upper or full back massage.

…The four massage modes of the iJoy 130 Massage Chair are rolling, kneading, compression, and percussion. The rolling mode is where the internal rollers of the iJoy 130 roll up and down the length of your back and your neck. The rolling mode is great for stretching tense muscles and is very similar to the purpose built machines you might have used in your Chiropractors office.

The kneading mode was the favorite around here during testing. If you have ever sat on one of the cheap "kneading" massage pads in the mall or a store, the kneading action of the iJoy 130 Massage Chair is a world apart. Imagine the difference in having a massage from a 2 year old or a professional masseuse and you get the idea.

…Overall, the iJoy 130 Massage Chair is simply an excellent product and gives the best massage this side of a $100 per hour massage therapist. I give it 3 out of 3 stars.
